Marg Helgenberger at the Hollywood Walk of Fame

You all probably know Marg Helgenberger from CSI Las Vegas. Well, she was just recently inducted and given her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Congrats, Marg!

I think that she looks so adorable in her pictures from the event. Want to know how she acheived her look? She called up Carol Shaw; Hollywood Makeup Artist and founder of LORAC Cosmetics to do her up.

Her complexion was flawless! She used LORAC AquaPRIME Oil Free Makeup Primer to prepare skin for smooth, long-lasting makeup application. And smoothed a Breakthrough Performance Foundation in SMS 3 all over skin for flawless coverage and a youthful radiance. To get her even skin tone, she used Double Feature Concealer and Highlighter in DF1. And finally, to give skin a silky-smooth picture perfect finish with POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder. Lightly dust NEW TANtalizer Highlighter & Matte Bronzer Duo (available this spring) all over for a subtle glow. And finish by applying Baked Matte Satin Blush in Exposed to give cheeks a peachy pink pop of color.

To give eyes a hint of sparkle, use the shimmering nude shadows in the NEW UNZIPPED Eye Shadow Palette (available at Sephora this spring). Then define eyes by tracing the lash line with Front of the Line Pro Eyeliner in Black. And my favorite part of every make-over; Create dramatic, voluminous lashes with Multiplex 3D Lashes Mascara.

Nail Polish Alert: Chinaglaze Electropop Collection

Jaime sent me an e-mail about this collection and all it said was “Eeep!”. Definitely the best onomatopoeic word to describe our feelings about Electropop.

China Glaze is releasing their new collection in Feburary of 2012. The collection Electropop is divided into two sections; Brights and Lights.

The Electropop collection seems to be geared to a younger audience but we love it just the same. Or it could be geared to those ladies who want to relive the 80′s. These colors are super fun and quirky and will be awesome to wear in the spring when you’re dying to shed the winter blues.

Each color will retail for $7 and you can buy the 6-packs for $42 a set.

My favorite color is Aquadelic and I can’t wait to do my nails with it while listening to Dirty Pop by N*Sync. For whatever reason, that song seems to match perfectly to this collection!

Zoya’s Spring 2012 Line – TRUE!

Here I go again, freaking out while looking at nail polish swatches! Zoya gave us a sneak peak of their Spring 2012 line of polishes and they are to die for! With a combination of creams, metallics and their new introduction of ‘Fleck’, this line has a color that will please everyone.

The Fleck Effect Glazes can be worn on it’s own or on top of polish to literally quadruple your color collection!! As always, Zoya’s polishes are formaldehyde, DBP, toluene and camphor free and a vegan friendly formula!

The suggested retail is $8.00 per 0.5 fl.oz. bottle. They’ll be available January 13, 2012!

My favorite color is Bevlin, the minty green cream polish will look amazing in the spring months! What’s yours? Let us know in the comments!

New Nail Polish Alert!

Time for a confession: I am mildly ..er.. severely obsessed with nail polish. I’m one of those people who paints their nails on a Monday and already has the itch to do it again on Tuesday. And when I do my nails, I can’t stop staring at them…it’s sick.

We got this press release from China glaze and I literally squealed when I saw the colors. Their new line of polishes is modeled after the book and now movie “Hunger Games”, they call it “Colours from the Capitol”. I haven’t read the book yet but my friend gave it to me and I plan to read it while I’m traveling next week. There are 12 polishes in this collection and each one is fantastic – see for yourself – I can’t even stand it.

Since I haven’t yet read the book, here is a blurb about the collection in the words of China Glaze…

“This collection of 12 new nail polish shades is inspired exclusively by one distinct setting in The Hunger Games – the Capitol of the nation of Panem. Awash in lavish fashion, food, and entertainment, Capitol citizens enjoy extreme cosmetics and body modifications, bold wigs, and outlandish costumes.”

We have no other information or anymore pics to show you guys, but they did tell us to stay tuned till mid-Janurary 2012. When these are released I’m going to be doing my nails for 12 days straight. You can count on it.
