But, who is behind the beauty blog?
Editor-in-Chief Alyssa writes fun, relatable reviews that have built up a fan base here on Beauty Debutante. Originally from New Hampshire, Alyssa is currently living in Denver and working for Debutante Media as an Outreach Specialist.
Derek hates buying products without knowing how they’ll work. That goes doubly so for shaving and other mens grooming products, since there’s a lot less out there for men, and often couched in dated masculine marketing — “make your skin as tough as tree bark!” No thanks. But a smooth shave and products that do what they promise? Yes please!
Elvira is the creator and primary contributor to PinkSith.com which is a beauty blog with a bit of a sarcastic edge. Elvira enjoys being verbose and tries to be funny, but mostly she loves taupe eyeshadow, writing about makeup and Star Wars.
Kate brings her unique perspective and thorough examination of beauty products from her background as a scientist.
Kristy manages authors, content and technical aspects of the blog, as well as occasionally reviewing products.
Krystal is the owner of the blog PolishGalore. This mommy of one from South Texas is a big dreamer with a warm heart and friendly smile.
Jasmine Throughout her 15 year yoga practice and teachings, Jasmine Kaloudis has experienced how yoga is a tool which allows us to experience our selves more fully and more richly. She teaches gentle yoga to beginners and yoga teacher training in Philadelphia at Synergy By Jasmine – Partner Yoga – http://synergybyjasmine.com/. Jasmine Kaloudis worked at SpaFinder at Luxury SpaFinder Magazine and Spafinder.com in the medical aesthetics and Day Spa departments. You can find her on twitter for inspiring quotes, vitality, meditation, yoga and stress-management.
Josie spends her free time shopping her way through New York City, eager to try and test every new product she finds. She currently writes for Pinksith.com with her partner and site founder Elvira, and has recently started her own blog, Too Many Eyeshadows (toomanyeyeshadows.blogspot.com), about her massive makeup collection.

“I wouldn’t even trade the acne scar on my right cheek, because that recurring zit spent more time with me in college than any boy ever did.”

Hey guys,
First thing’s first: I like what you do. Your site is clever, cute, and insightful- all the things an awesome beauty blog should be. Honestly, what you post is stuff that I’m sure you’re really proud of, and you should be- keep doing what it is you’re doing, lady, because DAMN. It’s working for you!
I write to you because I’m part of a team currently working with some of the best industry skincare specialists in the U.K. to write an e-book called ACNE: A comprehensive guide on identifying, treating and generally showing your skin who the boss is. We’d love the input of who we think are the most influential and insightful beauty bloggers on the web right now, and essentially… that’s you.
(*insert fangirling giggles here*)
We’re determined to create a resource as much about combating acne, spots and bad skincare as making women (and men!) feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. We want you to be part of our Insider 100, a group of savvy, switched on beauty addicts who understand how important great skin is not only for looking good, but for feeling good too.
Why are we recruiting our Insider 100? Because we understand that we have the skincare specialist know-how, but that we need help figuring out exactly what the masses want to know. That’s where you come in. It works like this:
- You ask your readers what they want to know about acne: causes to treatments to confidence tricks- every curiosity and question
- We take what your readers say and use it take make a better and more comprehensive guide than we could possibly do without them
- We name you and your website in the credits
- To thank your readers, you get ten preview copies of the book THAT YOU HELPED WRITE, weeks before it goes public
Basically, we can’t do this without you, because you’re ace.
I’m beyond excited about this project- the whole team I’m working with is- and your involvement would be oh so very wonderful for us.
I look forward to hearing what you think- are you going to become one of Insider 100? Are you as excited as I am?
Lots of beauty love,
Laura x
p.s. You look FABULOUS today!
