I figured I’d keep up with the trend of tanning following Jaime’s post and giveaway with these babies. I recently tried out Comodynes Easy Peeling: New Face Effect Exfoliator, Intensive Sunless Tanning Towelettes and their Hydra Tanning Facial Moisturizer. I have to words for you: Sun Goddess.
It should be pretty clear at this point that I am totally against tanning beds and a huge proponent of sun screen. I’m not really a fan of wrinkles or skin cancer… so I try to avoid those at all cost. And sometimes that means using sunless tanning products to help me achieve that perfect beach bunny tan. Comodynes products helped me do exactly that!
First they recommend you start with the Easy Peeling: New Face Effect Exfoliator. It came in the same size packet as the towelette and was just as big. In fact, it was almost too big. So I used it on my face then on my chest and arms where I knew I’d be applying the towelette. It smelled really good and had these awesome beads that removed all my dead skin and left me with super smooth and fresh skin that was ready for bronzing!
Next I used the Hydra Tanning face moisturizing summer glow. It went on just like a standard face moisturizer. If you’ve ever used Jergens Natural Glow face lotion, it smells just like that. It has a slightly yellow tint which is prob due to the DHA which tans your skin. Usually my face does not tan like at all, the rest of my body yes, but my face usually stays 3-4 shades lighter. Likely because I used SPF religiously and never give it a chance to tan. However, the Hydra Tanning lotion has definitely tanned my skin, so much so that M even noticed and said that it looked like I got some color!! YEEE!
The Tanning Towelette was big but definitely NOT big enough for my whole body. I’d need about 3 to get every inch of my skin covered. I was able to do my neck back and arm and some of my torso. It was so easy to do and dried pretty quick. Only thing I wish was that it had some instant bronzer in it so that I could see where I applied it. Given that, I did miss some spots – eeek! This was the intensive formula so that could also explain the streaks.
I used the Hydra Tanning lotion on those streaks and it helped to fade them quite a bit. I love multi-tasking. Take a look at my legit results, sorry for the borderline inappropriate pics, this was easiest way to capture the color change. As always, the lighting in my place is impossible to capture true colors… but you can get the idea.
Comodynes Sunless Tanning Towelettes have a suggested retail price of $15 for 8 pack towelettes (Intensive Formula) and $14 for 8 pack towelettes (Natural Formula). Hydra Tanning Body Moisturizing Glow has a suggested retail price of $22.99 for 6.76 fl.oz. Hydra Tanning Face Moisturizing Glow has a suggested retail price of $20.99 for 1.35 fl.oz.
Even though I had some streaking I would totally buy these and use them again. The color of the tan was so natural and it was SO easy!! I really love this stuff!!
