Nail Polish Review: Duri Cosmetics Icicle and Toxic

by Alyssa on January 5, 2012

Duri Cosmetics was nice enough – probably knowing my love for new polishes – to send us a few bottles! They sent me Icicle and Toxic. Jaime also got a few colors so stay tuned for those!

Icicle is a frosty white color that I wore during the holidays. It has a clear base with really small white/silver glitter – which gives it that frosty look. The wear was great and I loved the color. It was subtle but sparkly. But I am sorry to say that I don’t have any pics of the polish on my nails!!

Toxic was probably my favorite color of the bunch. The name is perfect  – an almost radioactive green color. I went to a dubstep concert on New Years Eve and wore this color hoping it would glow in the black light, and right I was. They looked super cool both at the concert and in the daylight. The color is a neon cream so if you’re kind of conservative when it comes to polish this is NOT for you.

Here is what it looks like on the nail. The polish dries as a matte so you’ll definitely need a top-coat. The wear was so-so. It cracked a lot at the tips after a few days, but I was pretty careless with my hands so it was probably my fault.

Duri Cosmetics - Toxic

The picture really doesn’t to this color justice. It was extremely bright and almost has a “gummy” look to it. This was after a basecoat - 2 coats of polish – and a top coat. Love love love.

Duri Cosmetics Polish can be purchased on the Duri website for $5 or on Amazon.com. This is a super good deal for really great quality polish!

Would you be brave enough to wear Toxic or is Icicle more your style? Let me know below!

Love,
Alyssa
