Skinauthority has a new daily skin care set called GO! Gorgeous. I was happy to try this out, because honestly, my skin has not been doing so well lately. The set is designed to reveal younger and firmer skin with a healthy radiance. The set includes four steps; a daily cleanser, a resurfacing accelerator, a hydrator, and a sunscreen to protect and renew your skin.
GO! Cleanse is the daily cleanser for both the morning and evening routine. This cleanser is designed to remove all dirt and oil, as well as loosen dead skin cells in order to make your skin feel refreshed and start the skin renewing process. At first, with this daily cleanser, I was not going to give it a good review. The cleanser is almost completely liquid, so it is hard to apply with your fingers because as soon as you put it on your fingertips, it starts running down your hand. I recommend applying the cleanser with a small cloth, and do not forget to put it on your dry skin, not wet. That will help. Honestly, I would have preferred a cleanser that actually felt like it was scrubbing my skin or one that would make more of a lather, but that is just because that is the type of cleanser that I am used to. I just could not tell if it was working. But, it is a good cleaner. It certainly cleaned off all of the daily dirt and oil. It is a great makeup remover for regular makeup, but my waterproof mascara still took some scrubbing. It did not completely dry out my skin, which was nice, but in the beginning I was not amazed. I started liking the cleanser a little bit more in the evening when I felt the cleanliness of my skin and realized what it was doing to prepare my skin for the resurfacing accelerator. But then I especially started liking it later, when I had really seen the results of the entire set together.
GO! Protect is the SPF 30 sunscreen moisturizer that has protection against both UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays, this is part two of the morning routine. As with all sunscreens that protect against UVA and UVB rays, this will protect your skin nicely and help keep your skin young and healthy. The thing that sets it apart from any sunscreen and makes this product good in my book was that it protected my skin all day while in 97 degree weather. I was sweating all day in the sun, and even with wiping my face, I did not get sunburned.
GO! Resurface is the resurfacing accelerator that is to be used after the daily cleanser in the evening routine. This is where I really started liking the set. I could tell that this was working immediately. It made my skin tingle and sometimes sting a little, but that just told me that it was doing its work. I could really feel it getting down deep and getting rid of the dead skin cells. It was refreshing and made my skin feel nice and awake, which is why I was glad to find out that you can add this step to your morning routine, after the cleanser. That is, once your skin is used to this resurfacer and it does not sting so much.
GO! Hydrate is a tri-powder peptide hydrator is the last part of the evening routine. This is my favorite of the four, it makes my skin feel replenished and soft. Especially after using the daily cleanser and resurfacing accelerator, the tri-powder hydrator makes my skin feel normal again. It made my skin very soft and gave it a nice thorough hydration to heal the deep clean.
I have been using this skincare set for a little over two weeks now. In the beginning, I was not impressed. I thought that my skin was looking worse, I actually started getting a few more pimples on my forehead. But, then I realized what it was actually doing. The cleanser and resurfacing accelerator was getting rid of the top layer of dead skin cells and cleaning deeply, so it had started to show the impurities below the top layers. After a few days with two daily routines, my skin started looking more even, showing less blemishes, the pimples started to clear, and it just felt healthier. As an added bonus, my lines started disappearing. I know that I am young, and I do not have that many lines, but watching the few lines that I did have start to disappear, made me feel very good! The hydrator and the sunscreen helped make my skin soft and smooth after the deep cleaning. The overall feel of my skin after the two weeks of use was very nice. I am continuing to use this set and also continuing to see benefits.
