Rimmel Long Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation Review

by Cindy on September 23, 2010

Hi Ladies! It’s Cindy from Prime Beauty blog coming to you from Prime Beauty Headquarters–a.k.a. my living room. I had the chance to try Rimmel Long Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation and here are my thoughts:

For years I was a bit of a foundation snob. Drugstore foundations were lacking—thick and cakey, they often oxidized on me making me resemble a Jack o’ Lantern—not a good look. There was never enough shade selection and of course no testers. Well beauties, drugstore makeup has come a long way! I’ve given up on spending $50 and up on department store foundations when I can spend $10-15 and get comparable quality. I recently tried Rimmel Long Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation. The shade was a good match, maybe just a tad dark. Overall, this is a good foundation and it performed well—it didn’t last 24 hours, but probably 16 for sure. There is a good color selection—11 shades.

PROS:

Nice creamy texture—not too thick or thin

Blends easily, does not cake up

Good coverage with a slight dewy look

Really is long lasting

Has a built in primer—you can feel the primer in how easily this foundation spreads

CONS:

Tends to sit on top on my skin just slightly and not “melt” in like I would prefer—that’s just me being picky though.

The long wearing finish, the texture, the coverage and the price make this a great foundation!

Grade: B+
