As I very quickly approach the age of 30 (a very exciting time for me!), the more I care about my skin, and more specifically, keeping my skin looking young, radiant, and void of wrinkles. Now, I know that these things are not totally possible to avoid completely, but we are in an age that preventative measures make a huge difference. So, I was really excited to get the chance to test out the Vichy LIFACTIVE CxP TOTAL Anti-wrinkle, Firming & Radiance Serum.
Vichy has long been a household name, dating back to 1931. As a skincare brand, they hold the #1 spot in Europe, and I would have to say that is a huge honor and one that does not come without doing a lot of things right. Vichy’s Laboratoires’ mission has always been to help every individual to optimize their skin’s health, and with this product, I was excited to put them to the test!
Here is a little bit of a background on the product:
Liftactiv CxP Total Serum was created following the same method used in targeted drug therapy by combining Vitamin C with Monosaccharide R, which identifies and attaches to the receptors of fibroblasts to deliver Vitamin C directly to the fibroblasts for faster and better results.

Over the course of two weeks, I have used this product daily. I found that I used about a squirt or two per application, aiming for about a dime size amount. It has a bit of a light peachy color to it, and a very pleasant smell. I find the scent to be very fresh and and the consistency to be an interesting combination of thick yet not highly concentrated. It covers your face very easily, and a little goes a long way.
Upon my daily application, I noticed my skin took on a very shiny glow but it did leave a bit of a stickiness behind. I chose to use this product before bed daily, so the light amount of stickiness was not an issue for me. I would imagine for others, that depending on the time of day the product is used, they may want to take that into consideration. The glow is definitely the “radiance” they speak of, and although it appears more shiny than radiant at first, if you give it a bit of time, the shininess and stickiness quickly diminish. Eventually my face felt more firm, very well moisturized, and there was a beautiful radiant glow left behind!
Vichy is definitely a company that I trust and feel they put a lot of research into their product lines. With this particular product, I was really happy with it and it has made it into my nightly rotation and process of “getting ready for bed”. I love the fact that after each application I see my face look more radiant and feel more firm, just as the package describes. I also feel like it has an added benefit of creating a more soft, supple feel to my skin, which was a total bonus!
I do feel like the serum has left my skin looking more radiant and healthy throughout the course of testing. I have slight wrinkles that have developed under my eyes over the last few years, and it is hard to say if I notice a change related to them yet, but I definitely want to continue the usage to see how the long-term effects play out.
I know this product is more geared towards a woman in her 40s and 50s, but I always believe that you can never start too early in taking care of your skin. Aside from the obvious daily sunscreen application, preventative measures can go a long way to keep your skin looking young and fresh. I would highly recommend trying a serum, such as LIFTACTIV CxP TOTAL from Vichy, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
