Hey there everyone, hope you are bearing this brutal heat this summer is giving us.This is Hillary from Byhillary again. This time I get to review my favorite type of product! POLISH! The kind people behind Sinful Colors gave me the chance to test out and review 5 of their polishes. I had a hard time picking which one to start with as they sent a really great selection of colors.
From Left to Right: Rich in Heart, Out of this World, Mama San, Flirting Nails, Mercury Rising
It appears to be a deep dark red in the bottle but once applied you can tell it has a black base to it. I found this color to be overly thick, clumpy and a little hard to get it to apply evenly. This is two coats and it leveled out some once it was drying but I find colors as dark as this hard to make look nice. It did last a few days without major chipping. This photo was actually taken after 2 days.
My friend Stacy actually tested this one out for me. It is so beautiful with her red head coloring. What she had to say about it.
This color really surprised me.In the bottle I could see it was very pretty shiny brown color. I didn’t realize it was going to look as good as it does. The color is a deep brown with a bit of red in it. It looks like beautiful shiny auburn hair. This color was very opaque and I almost could of gotten away with 1 coat but I did two because it was on my toes. This one unlike Rich in Heart applied much more smoothly and without clumps. This is another color I can see me using a lot. It is sophisticated and fun.
I was very impressed with these polishes. I have to say I went into it with some preconceived notions about “inexpensive” polish being inferior in quality. In the past I have had a lot of problems with “cheap” polish staining my nails and being very messy to remove. That was certainly not the case with these. They removed cleanly and with minimal effort. I will absolutely be using these again but I will purchase more from them. I think all the women in my life need a bottle of Mama San. Sinful Colors can be found at Walgreens and retails for $1.99. I think it is a great price for a really great product.
