When it comes to makeup, I prefer to err on the glamorous side. The more shimmer, gloss, and glitter, the better! My divalicious predilections have led me to become a fan of Too Faced Cosmetics; creator Jerrod Blandino’s glam and gorgeous line of makeup follows the same aesthetic – Glam is good!
My admiration for Too Faced aside, I have to say that the line offers some quality products at great prices. I have never really tried something from Too Faced that I didn’t enjoy. My latest forays into the line have been especially enjoyable; I had the privilege to try the new Glamour Glosses and the Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit, and I am obsessed with these products now! My skin has never looked better, and my lips have never been more kissable.
The Glamour Gloss lip gloss is a volumizing lip gloss with Lip Injection Comfort Plump (Lip Injection is one of the best lip plumpers available, FYI!); there are twelve shades available, and each delivers shine along with a natural plumping and cooling action. Luscious lips without the injection (and hefty price tag)? Hell yes!
I tested two shades: Flirt and Sex Pot. Flirt is a perfect pink-brown shade that was everyday and natural; my lips but better. Sex Pot is a cool, but wearable, lilac shade – I’ve been very fond of colors like this lately, and Sex Pot is the best I’ve tried so far! These glosses are cute to look at in the tube, as they have an adorable rhinestone on the cap, and they’re sexy as hell on my lips. Everything about these glosses works. They have a Taklon brush applicator (Thank heavens, as I hate doe foot applicators!), which allow a precise application of color. The lip gloss formula is jam-packed with good for your lips ingredients: natural rice lipids and dehydrated marine spheres collect moisture and plump lips, and Omega-3,-6, and-9 fatty acids (along with Vitamin E, jojoba, and avocado oils) also help to hydrate lips in the long-term. These lip glosses are pigmented without being overwhelming, and I noticed a definite plumping action. Also, I noticed that these glosses filled in the small lines in my lips (maybe this is what helped with the plumping effect!), and the cooling action was comforting to feel on a hot day. I got a surprising 5-6 hours of wear from these glosses – Flirt lasted through a hefty dinner at IHOP! – and even after the glosses wore off completely, my lips still felt soft. I’m now hooked, and at a reasonable $19USD, I can afford to collect a few more colors (I have my eyes on Champagne Room, a shimmery beige, and Peek-A-Boo, a pretty mauve).
The Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit is just the perfect ‘everything you’d ever need for a flawless face!’ compact. Playing off the company’s wildly popular Pink Leopard Bronzer, Too Faced has created two new Leopard shades to accompany Pink Leopard. In a cute mirrored compact, you get Peach Leopard (a bronzer blended with peach and apricot tones, to give the skin a natural tanned appearance), Candy Leopard (the sweetest mix of pinks, which blend together to give cheeks a naughty pink flush), and the original Pink Leopard (an illuminating mix of shimmery bronzes, champagne, and pink which act to highlight the skin without turning it into a glitterbomb).
The compact itself has easy instructions on how to ‘get the look’; it’s impossible to mess up application, since the instructions are so clear, and the powders themselves are so buildable. You can use the powders separately or together; either way, your skin will be radiant in a way you’ve never seen before. I am particularly fond of using Peach Leopard on my cheekbones and temples, Candy Leopard on the apples of my cheeks, and Pink Leopard on my eyelids and and bridge of my nose. At $30USD, the price is unbeatable – three powders, a mirror, and instructions! – and the possibilities are endless.
What do you think? Will you rush to pick these items up? Paired together, Too Faced Glamour Gloss and Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit are all you need for your sexiest summer you!
